I know they say this trick is easy so I must be backroll challenged. I keep stuffing my nose in on the landing. It seems like I am getting enough air, but I'm not sure. Please Help! Here is a video:

| Everything looks good until half way through the trick. Keep that handle in close to you all the way through the trick. It looks like your letting it out half way through. That slows your rotation speed down. It also looks like when you see that water coming you start to freak out a bit and stop rotating. This might not be it but thats what it looks like in the video, not trying to offend. Just finish out the trick with the handle close to you. Gook luck. |

Yeah I agree, half way looks great. The thing you are doing wrong is letting go of the handle with you're back hand, that is stopping your rotation!!! I think once you get this you will bde landing it fine!! _________________ If you wanna make it,

is it just me, or is that a mexican looking roll?
keep the handle in, and don't take such a long approach, take a short approach with correct line loading _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

Thank you guys for the comments. Looks like I'm letting the handle out. I'll try to fix it this week.
Someone else told me it looks like a mexi-roll. What is the difference anyway? Is there something I could do to make more of a regular backroll? _________________ It is better to go big and crash than not to go big at all. |

It's sorta a mexican. Your letting of edge alittle early and not taking the trick off the top of the wake. Put more weight on your back foot and watch yourself all the way up the wake. _________________ Raley cut everything! |

are you hucking the rotation, or letting the wake do all the work? _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

I'm letting the wake do all the work. I'm just trying to lean against the rope and then stand tall at the wake. It seems like I get kicked around pretty quick. I'm not sure how I could grab this trick, the board goes behind me way to fast. _________________ It is better to go big and crash than not to go big at all. |

take more of a progessive edge. ur startin really hard and lettin up at the wake. rember u should be edgeing ur hardest at the wake. stand tall more and try to get the rotation more like a backwards cartwheel then a mexican roll like everyone else is saying. down this by lookin over ur front shoulder more. _________________ My videos- www.wakepics.com/member/GhettoLake4
