i tryed whirlys today for the first time and landed the 3rd try! then i did 3 more after that...super excited!
then all of a sudden i tried another and way over rotated...almost a whirly 5...
then i tried 2 more times and the same thing.
worst falls ive ever had..

any tips on how to not rotate so fast?

Sounds like you may be rushing into the spin early. Really try to get a feel for the tantrum off the wake and the amount of pop you get. Once you get used to this trick you find that you can wait quite awhile to initiate the overhead 360. If you wait to feel the tantrum, your speed of your 360 can be controlled just by how hard you pull the handle across and by how tight you keep your arm. If you get good pop its not a hard pull which may also be your problem.
