Hey,

I was just wondering if the 2007 Watson bindings, namely the OT, are more durable and better constructed then the 2006 models.

Has anyone been tearing the 2007's like the 2006's did?

Thanks

haven't heard of any problems with the 07's. Seems like there was a post every day on here last year for somebody tearing theirs, including a friend of mine.

The 06's didn't blow out as much as it seemed on here, I think everyone just has a friend of a friend... But they did beef up the proplate and hardware for 07.

I did not see that many Watsons from 2006 come back with problems. We did have a few that blew out but based on the number we sold it was a low percentage.

I have yet to see a problem with the 2007 Watson bindings.

They hold up better. I broke 4 pairs of 06 watsons in half. I eventually went with transits. After using those 06 transits about 4 times a week for 6 months, the heel rubber split on one of thos crashes where your heel comes halfway up and gets stuck. So I got a pair of 07 transits for a replacement, which were on the pro-plate, and never had a problem with them. After that, I bought a pair of CT shanes to try out the closed toe, and had no problems with those. So, in my experiences, the 07 pro-plate is much stronger, or i just got much luckier

I just grabbed some Watsons off ebay...they are the LE plaid colorwary, think 06? So far they have been fine. Rode them maybe 6 or more times. I did do some reading on here how they fall apart. Makes me nervous.

So far-these are my favorite. They are super stiff-like my burton snowboard boots. I feel like everything is directly transmitted to my board and energy isn't wasted moving a loose binding around.

I just had to return some 07 Byerlys...the stitching was coming apart-after maybe 3 times being used. The company I bought them for off ebay has been great...they are taking back the bad ones and resending some replacements.

Just got my 06's warrantied and got a pair of 07's. Day of getting the new ones im putting in the screw on the bottom of the boot to attach the pro plate. and the part inside the bottom of the boot that houses the screw spun when i put a little bit of force on it. ONE DAY and now im either finding a way to stick that screw in or seeing if i can get another pair.
