That's cool, all the comfort of closed toe meets the lack of comfort of CWB bindings.

LakeIolaLuke, are you smoking the same crap WattsBar=Perfect is on?

There is no lack of comfort in CWB's line this year. In years past, yeah sure they were marginal at best, but with articulated toe they every bit as comfortable as anything out there.

chavez, well, my feet beg to differ. No binding from conelly (slalom or wakeboard) has ever been very comfortable to me, esp. hinge bindings. Those CT bindings Look like they have a different hinge than years past, so maybe that'll change for 08.

LakeIolaLuke, that just illustrates the fact that "comfort" is a very subjective term.

For the record, I find most of today's binders "comfortable". What I find preferable is a different story though.

jt09, I know. I need to step up my game. That 12 minute mark is shameful.

Although... 12 minutes was more than long enough for Blake's mom, begging for mercy and such.

I honestly don't care for the CWB boots either, I'm not bashing them but I really do not think they have a comfortable footbed AT ALL. IMO I'd take my 06 LF Transits over almost any boot on the market, except for my Cells because they are REALLY nice.

Sorry Chavez, but you obviously haven't ridden the cells. CWB's line is not as comfortable as anything out there because they simply aren't as comfortable as Ronix's line. Functionality, durability, I don't know, comfort wise, up until now I don't think anybody can touch what Ronix did this year.

Epic, well, seeing as comfort is a relative term (i.e. it is an opinion), they are as comfortable as anything out there.

Enjoy attempting to prove me wrong - pretty difficult seeing as there is no wrong answer. Neutral

Chavez,
I don't need to prove you wrong. It's kind of like when somebody says, "You know what, I work for Ford and the Taurus is just as nice as a BMW M5." Yeah, you can say it and there's no real way to prove you wrong, but everybody is still laughing at you.
Not comparing CWB to a Taurus but you get the point. I Actually wore the Zues bindings for a day and they are quite comfy. It's just that the Ronix line is amazing. And this is coming from somebody who buys EVERYTHING else from Liquid Force.

Epic,

You have to stop looking at "comfort" in a binding as something that can be proven absolutely. As chavez said eariler, most bindings are "comfortable," which to me just means most are not uncomfortable. What a person may prefer will probably be based on other factors. For example, Ronix's boots aren't my favorite because they have two "tongue" pieces (liner piece and outer piece), and I think that is completely useless. I want less to deal with on my boots.

Personally, the new articulated toe piece makes CWB bindings fit my foot great. The LF Watsons also fit well, and I like the Hyperlite 3DS and Eras, because I have narrow feet. So what is "amazing" to me is that I can get all the "comfort" I need in other bindings without dealing with all the extra pieces on a Ronix boot.

Epic, Funny you mention Ford and BMW as an analogy for C-dub and Ronix. The Taurus; one of the best selling cars in the history of Ford, even the History of America, sold so well because of its subtle looks, comfort, and had minor issues from body, to chasis, even to the drive train. However the m5, in comparison cant hold a candle to it. Sure it's like a billion times faster. and sure it handles like a million times better. But it has some serious serious issues, mainly motor problems. So like c-dub and ronix. C-dub wont fall apart, and ronix will. wow that was a long post just to say one thing. ronix might be "more" comfortable, maybe even the "most" comfortable. But there is nothing comfortable about tearing and acl when your liner pops out. BAM Laughing

That's why I didn't say I can't speak to performance and functionality comparisons. I'm not a big fan of Ronix laces (I've busted them twice and they're tough to cinch down) and I have to hold the liner in when i pull my foot out (also a pain). However, because they are so comfortable I'm willing to deal with the shortcomings. As for the Taurus vs. M5, the Taurus sold more because it was much cheaper, not nicer or more comfortable. That's a different argument just like the performance of the bindings is a different argument than comfort.

yeeeeeah. riiiiiiight. The Zeus have issues with the recoil pull thing, the lace wasnt tied right on the first batch, and the back overlay piece had a weird habit of blowing out on a bunch of the Faction bindings that I sold. Not that Ronix was any sort of golden child....they both had issues.
