I have been trying this about every day for 2 and a half weeks. I have the handle pass and rotation down, but when i am just about to land I am always off balanced, and I fall. Any pointers? thanks _________________ 05' Hyperlite Premier

| just looked like an under rotation to me, and he looked like he was going to fast and not poping off the wake, not much height in that jump |

if ur cutting in that hard you wont get the pop. slower edge gives you more pop. _________________ If there is one thing in this world that doesn't have negatives, that would be wakeboarding. |

for mine I cut hard then just mellow off my edge and stand really tall... pull the handle hard to my back hip shortly after getting my pop, pass the handle and the rest is flowy..
just try to keep the handlepass close.. near your butt and your landing should be a bit better, as the handle won't be as far out in front of you _________________ www.betacuts.com

not sure if this is a proper thing to do, but for me I just get as much pop as I can. And honestly, when I started to land them at first I wasnt trying that hard at all, it was when I got overly anxious and rushed the trick that I typically bailed..though I supposed that goes for learning any new trick _________________ why do lakes have to freeze? |

| from your discription, landing off balance, your spinning to early. Try this little trick, take your cut and watch the wake your about to hit, then right when you pop off the top, look at the boat then start your rotation. This will force you to jump then spin. Spinning right off the wake usually causes a little off axis, and if you dont know how to handle that your going to land off balance. Just think pop then spin, and try that trick. If it doesn't work, there are othes. |

Edge progressivly, not very hard since that will make the line tension to hard for you to be able to make the handlepass easy enough.
Wait for the pop, don't start rotating until you are in the air.
Once you pop, pull the handle as hard as you can with your back hand towards the you back and the front hip.
Grab the handle with your front hand and keep it in pretty close.
Bend your knees to absorb the pressure as you are about to land.
Land on your heels edging away from the boat...
Try landing in the wake, not out in the flats.
Good Luck! |
