If you have the crappy velcro bindings that seem to come on most Hyrdoslides, its no surprise that you come out of them all the time.

If you want to continue wakeboarding and get better at it, you're going to have to upgrade your equipment. That doesn't mean you have to buy top-of-the-line, but those velcro slip on bindings will definitely hold you back.

And I speak from experience. My first set up was a Hydroslide Black Widow from Boater's World. I outgrew it in about a month. My next board was a CWB Flame with Torq hinge bindings. It served me well for about a year. My current setup is a LF PS3 with Shane CT bindings. I don't see myself outgrowing this one any time soon. Laughing

If you fall hard enough you can come out of even the best bindings, though I have yet to come out of my Shanes.

If you're coming out of your bindings very frequently then they probably don't fit right.

sajasmith2, Do your feet slide forward when you land big W2W's? If so, this is bad, especially if it consistantly happens. I would worry about new bindings before a new board. Similar to what Dave said.

Like HHI Dave said, you should probably upgrade. Hydroslide makes crappy beginner boards. I'd recommend getting a decent 05/06 setup from a reputable company like liquid force, hyperlite, CWB, etc. If you have any shops around you, demo a few setups and see what you like.

well. most likely, its just the boards bindings being too big/beginner. but also, you want sometimes for oyur feet to come out on hard falls cause if they stay on, i heard that you could really mess up your ankles, knees etc. but thats just what i have heard.

nicodeluca1313, What will REALLY mess you up is having only one foot come out of the binding, leaving that board to twist and turn the hell out of your knee. Ouch.

beginners don't need to jump to the top of the line bindings right away. for the first few months, you probably want something that does release on crashes, cause you can get some pretty bad whiplash/concussions/etc. if you don't release out of you bindings. That being said, it can happen to very experienced riders as well, and it's not like experienced riders don't fall, they just learn how to fall to take the least punishment on their body. So while a pair of ronix cells might be more comfortable that a pair of foundations, if your just starting out, you don't need something nearly as stiff or locked in as a pair of pro-model bindings.
