| Is a tower realy that much better than a high pole. I have a high pole right now but I was looking at upgrading to a tower if the benafit is great anough. I am a beginer if it matter. |

Aside from a higher rope mounting point, I like the fact that my tower can carry 4 boards in the racks and also has 4 speakers mounted on it. There will be a light bar too if I ever get off my ass and get around to installing it. |

Depending on how your pole is installed, it can take up a lot more floor space than a tower. Plus, like HHI Dave said, you can mount stuff on your tower (board racks, speakers, microwave oven) that you can't on a pylon. _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

| basically if you look at it like this w/ a tower you sacrifice: affordability....with a high pole you get a cheaper cost but since all the ones i've seen have the cable going over the nose you lose space and the boat tends to rock more when the rider cuts out |
