It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought. The first try i landed on my head. The second try I got the board all the way around to the water but not under me. The third try I totally dorked the rotation and didn't get anywhere close.

My question is, what is the proper way to approach the wake? Cut hard at first and then let off, or do a progressive edge? Wakeboard mag has a whole article about trip flip, and that's what I did today, but i just read a post about shawn murray in detention saying that you sould use progressive edge. I'm confuzzed, so any help would be appreciated.
I want to land this mofo saturday!

I approach hard. I don't let off and square off with the wake.

There;s nothing to be afraid of, it's just water.

Don't know exactly the right way to do it but i cut pretty hard from the start then flatten a little bit about 3ft out and just throw a backfllip. only landed this bout 5 times and don't feel like the form is there yet. the key for me is to be sure and look for the water over your back shoulder and let go with your back hand. being able to do a backflip off a tramp or anything else is a big advantage to this trick. the tantrum is the only invert i can do, as of right now![/quote]
