When you say you can't ollie high, did you mean 4 inches? 'Cuz your post sez 4 feet.

At any rate, you don't need to ollie to get into Primo, that's something I've only seen Rodney Mullen do. When Primo does it he just gets going real fast & then tips the board like you do. Sometimes he does powerslide 180 Primos, it's pretty sick.

If you're looking to kickflip or heelflip into it like Rodney good luck, it takes a LOT of deprogramming to learn how to do that. If you're still learning to kickflip/heelflip then you might be better off 'cuz you haven't developed a habit of watching for the griptape so you can stomp down. If you can do both of those well then you're in for a mother of a lesson, I can land a kickflip to rail maybe 1 out of every 50 tries.

Yeah the only way i even come close to k/f into it is when i stuff up a k/f or h/f. And yeah i did mean 4 inches stuff if it were feet i could do anything. ANd i thought there might have been an easier way to get into primo but u make it sound like it is the easiest. I guess practice makes perfect though.

fs04laoaksfny, board slides stuff your board up if you do them enough, dropping off ledges damages your bearings landing on the board wrong can damage your board to. Heaps of things in skating can wreck stuff incluidng your body.

The V crossdrilled axle is only on the new GK's (G7's I think?) but I have never seen GK's slip before, they were the only truck to have the axle cast in rather than hammered through back around the G4 days...

Not saying it can't happen but fs04 you must either ride hard or have got a dud set!

You're not doing ollies. You're doing pressure flips. You can't ollie from a rail stand. You have no tail to snap off of, and nothing to drag your feet on.

Actually there is something to kick your tail down on... you know who the kick curvs around? Well you use that to get your air, have you ever seen any one do something from rail?

I used to kickflip like 3/4 of the way into primo. I just stayed over my board and slid my foot further up then out to slow down the board rotation. And its cool to go from primo to Remo or w/e its called when you just flip your board to the other rail and then just varialflip out.

What does slipping your trucks mean and what are pressure flips?

wakeboarder_dude22, a pressure flip is like a backfoot varial flip.... sorta... you start it like an impossible but instead of the board wrapping for the full 360 shuvit you slide your back foot off so it does a kickflip. The whole thing is done with the back foot. Now that is a really crappy explaination... but yeah its a back foot varial flip. Oh yeah it looks sorta like a hardflip...

Trucks slipping has to do with the axle. You have the big part of the truck that you grind on, that's called the hanger. Inside the hanger is the axle, which is what you mount the wheels on. When trucks start to get old or when you thrash 'em sometimes the axle comes loose & starts to shift, that's called slipping. To avoid this problem some companies install a V-shaped axle rather than the straight one.

So is a pressure flip like a flip trick where you use your front foot to spin the board without kicking.

No, your back foot never touches the board, it has nothing to do with a pressure flip. Think of it as a backfoot varial flip. Here is a vid, it looks just like a plain old varial flip but its not. http://www.baker-x.flapjawed.com/video/pressureflip.mpg
