I gotta sweet hyperlite board and all I can do is get a little air toe side and do 180's (not in air)! I need help! ASAP! I wanna learn how to rip it up this summer! girls ya gotta help me! Sad

The only thing that I can tell you as far as how to be "okay" with doing tricks is that the more time you can log on your board, the more confident you'll be. I've ridden a lot more already this summer then I did all of last summer & the thing that I notice is that I ride out of a lot of situations this year that I would have bailed on last year. Practice the progressive edge technique & don't get into bad habits this early on. They can be very hard to break later on (as I'm learning now). Start with small tricks - you can already 180, that's great. Try butterslides, backslides, ollie 180s, of course wake-to-wake, & try to ride switch as much as possible. If you can do all of that, you're off to a great start.

also, get your friends to give you tips while you are out there. and progress slowly... don't start charging the wake to get the w2w's right away... work on your pop bc you have to have that dialed in before you can really do anything huge out there!
