Practice my friend. It basically comes down to this, right now you can flip the board but you're too scared to commit to the landing. I know 'cuz I did the same thing. So does everybody else when they're learning kickflips. After a while you get tired of only landing with one foot on & you tell yourself no matter what you're gonna get both feet on. That's usually when you do. But just keep practicing & it'll come.

Try them standing still first, When you are rolling and learning flip tricks the board sometimes gets pushed forward instead of up making it hard to land both feet on the board.

It sounds like you're kicking down on the board's edge instead of kicking it out off of the side of the nose and bringing your foot around the board. It's hard to explain online, but i had the same problem.
