Well the prob is i dont know much about adding ballast, the most ballast ive added is people. I want to know whether spots like next to the back seat either side, in the bildge, and in a little pull up locker thing(i think its for ropes, but quite big). The spot next to the seat would hold 70lbs each side and 50 lbs in the bilge and about 100lbs in the locker, would that make a difference to my wake

since no one had offered help...

No, that little amount of weight will do next to nothing. With 600 lbs you'll start to see a difference.

I would not put weight in the bilge, I know a guy who used to do this. For multiple reasons don't just "pull the plug" for ballast.

Try rubbermaid containers filled with water, for the money they are the best option. I would not do static weight such as lead or sand. Because once you start going down, your boat is going straight to the bottom.

hazza_35 what type of boat are you running? as that may help to give you some ideas. If it is a centre mount try fatsacks. One down either side of the engine. You can get 160 litre or 250 Litre sacks for about $120 AUD each and they will work well. That should give you either 320kg or 500kg. Both of which would make a differnce. I wouldnt bother usin the small locker spaces and try to avoid using the bilge.

I would try to figure out how Mastercrafts and MB sports new system works. From the sounds of it that is the way to go.

about 1500 lbs would make a 2000 tige 20i direct drive wake look like this

all water weight and two people in the boat

Those type of "river" boats are hard to add weight to. I would not even go near lead or concrete types of weight. Your best bet would most likely be one giant sack in the rear of the boat (where ever it will fit) and then maybe some longer tube style sacks stuffed under the front. Good luck.

hey ive got onto a place that'll get me fatsacs for $80 AUD and a new bilge pump for $35 AUD. The sac is 540lbs will that make a difference sitting on the back seat? The pump is only 300gph...how long will that take to fill a 540lbs sac and how the hell do i empty it..Do i just try to tip the water out or should i get a funnel with some hose on the end of it and tip the sac into the funnel and the hose into the lake??

300 gph is slow. to drain you just turn the pump around.
