Bored at work today waiting for my final day, Friday the 15th, and figured as I haven't started a thread in like 10 years, or more, why the heck not!

I've been working at this law firm for nearly 8 years now, met my gf Darcie/Darcizzle here...and now we both quit to pursue fishing full-time and I'm going to do as small amount of law work with my own practice as possible.

Whoop whoop! Smile

How does one profit off fishing full time? Tournaments? I assume Darcizzle has a few endorsements?

Congrats! Cool Hit me up if you make it over to Texas, just getting my boat dialed in with a full Furuno package, deep drop reels, etc... If oil goes much lower I might [be forced to] become a full time fisherman too! Shocked

Silver lining: at least it will be cheaper to put gas in the boat.

Thanks everyone!
Def need to get to TX, Venice, and OBX asap.

There are lots of ways to make money fishing, probably the most well-known is chartering--but that's a very hard business. We don't do that now, maybe in the future. I don't know anyone that makes actual profit year to year tournament fishing besides bass guys.

Anyways, Darcie aka Darcizzle Offshore is more a social media production and marketing company I would say. Darcie is an attractive young lady that knows how to fish, actually fish. I photo/vid her. This creates voluminous content which she started posting on social about 2.5 years ago. It just grew from there. We make money from Youtube, other video production contracts (like we make monthly instructional vids for Lucky Tackle Box), sponsors/endorsements pay her to use their product, images (I have two mag covers in the last 6 months), appearances, autographs, swag (calendars & 8x10's), streaming vid, Roku, straight advertising (pay per post on our social), writing fishing articles, etc. You might call her a Youtuber with a fishing channel.

Awesome for you guys. Best of luck and you always have that law license to fall back on if things get too tight moneywise. These days you can practice law from anywhere that you have internet access. I'm jealous, man.

Congrats....

I have enjoyed my time away from the corporate world. Good for you. You can always consult in the legal world from the helm of your fishing boat.

Partyb,
That's awesome. I wish you the best. Hopefully I'll get offshore more in the future now that I'm only a couple hours from the coast.

I'm sure the agency will miss you Partyb! Looks like everyone there is leaving recently!

It's been pretty cold down here - hope you're okay with fishing when it's in the 60s lol.
