It's time to upgrade the old Malibu and I am ready to move to a fully dedicated wakeboard / wakesurf boat. My budget is between $40,000-$60,000. I would consider myself an advanced rider... I can throw 360s and back flips on a wakeboard. I really want a boat that can put out a great wakeboard wake but can also be used for wake surfing. It appears to me the wakesurf technology 2 or wake gate is a must? Is it??? Does anyone know the year this was available for each brand? It's seems most boats that have it are over $60k, besides the axis a22. Any thoughts or recommendations? |

New new, or new to you?
Not many new boats out there for less than 60 grand, unfortunately.
What size, or doesn't matter?
Used Nautique 230 would be my choice, with your budget. Sick wake, and supposedly a great surf wave as well (though I couldn't care less). _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

I would give the Axis a look. http://www.axiswakeboardboats.com
In the used world I think you can find some stuff that will fit your needs. Surfgate came out in 2012-2013. Axis came out a year later. Everyone else copied something like that from 2013-
I like not tipping the boats for surfing now. I know my driver feels better about driving now. _________________ Wakeskating
