or sick of losing. his pc showed he recognizes that he's not the coach he was 10 years ago and he shouldn't be the head ball coach anymore. he's the anti-mack brown.
@ESPNCFB
"We've slipped and it's my fault. I'm responsible, I'm the head coach."
people will say he quit on his team, and they aren't wrong...but they aren't going to get better this year and this gives the administration time to start the hiring process. better for the program in the long run, regardless of what it looks like today.

There are coaches that won't burn the program down on their way out?? Those exist?

I'm not 100% sure if it's his color commentary or the Texas drawl, but Mack rubs me wrong on the broadcast...

Worried about this weekend.... Don't know if it's losing to ASU like 11 times straight(note, last couple have been dumps) or the offense(other than Booker).... I hope the Cal D is far better than everyone thinks(I'm not sure that's the case).
Hope the DLine can put Berc on his back regularly....and the Utes win the TO battle.
Go Utes!

Jryoung,
I feel like i am obligated to give you a chance to win back some money.
Any interest this year?
I am pretty sure you guys can break Oregon's streak this year.

Ouch, that was an old fashion woodshed beating. The Utes offense didn't surprise me, but their defense sure did. They sure did miss Norris.

does our tennessee fan still post here? i was pulling for them so hard yesterday.
lot of fun games yesterday all over, w/ lots of movement in the polls today.
my bobcats got their 1st fbs win this year, and made sportscenter: Texas State returns South Alabama's 53-yd FG attempt 100 yds for a TD.
like what texas has going on offense right now. still not exactly consistent, but there's some structure and purpose to what they're doing. loving tyrone swoopes embracing his inner tebow!

Texas needs to pass just a little bit more to keep the defense on it's toes. Not much, just a little. Swoopes is great in his role. He should just never pass unless he the guy is wide open and he has ZERO pressure.

goofyboy, Heard hasn't quite developed as a passer but his 3rd down production as a RS freshman is the impressive stat. Chris Warren will be a productive back for Texas no doubt.

Funny stuff with Muschamp....
Rosco to Virginia is crazy. Though I truly hate the persona of the guy, no idea how this will roll. Guy use to be a rocket firing SOB, then got the Brigham Young job. Should be interesting.
In the past 5+ years, there is not a coach in college football I despise more than Rosco. Oh he's tough to listen to. Wonder if that was a directive & he'll be easier....

jt09,
I would assume more bad blood between muschamp and jay jacobs, muschamp and gus just don't seem like they'd ever be friends. Completely different types of people besides the fact they're both football coaches.

That's more 5* QBs than the 'horns have signed in the last 12 years.

well, they haven't technically lost murray yet.
and what do the ags have to show for it, ohsix? texas got a crystal football out of that one, you guys can't get to 2nd place in your own division!

jt09, the mere presence of Johnny F*CKING Football is way better than Crystal Footballs.

Erroneous! I purposely stopped at 12 years. Vince was a 2002 recruit. Gilbert was your 5* QB in the last 12 years.
It sounds like there are problems brewing in College Station. It seems like part of the team backs Spavital and part does not. A few backed Allen and most backed Murray, but Allen's gone and it looks like Murray is all but gone. Rumors of academic ineligibility are swirling. Our bipolar fan base seems to be turning on Sumlin due to the transfers and lack of offense/not firing Spav.

well played...i'll counter with a game called "rumlin's qb carousel"
@PaulMyerberg 1h1 hour ago
QBs Sumlin has signed at A&M since 2012: Matt Davis (transfer), Hill (transfer), Kohl Stewart (MLB), Allen (transfer), Murray (transfer)
one of the funniest posts on shaggy today was something along the lines of: aggy can't even let us be the biggest dumpster fire in the state! always trying to outdo the horns!
edited to add: ags also lost their 2nd best recruit today - 4* wr quartney davis.

official now.
aggies play the bowl game, and next season, w/ a qb who was recruited simply to fill out the roster for 2 years as the 3rd string guy. they did not recruit a qb this cycle.

i've heard allen is looking at ou, and murray at oregon. not sure how valid either is, but certainly haven't seen utah as a possibility.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Allen back in Arizona (Scottsdale kid who's girlfriend is going to school in Tucson). OU has been killing it in recruiting the last month or so. I wouldn't mind him coming to Norman.
Trevor Knight was knocked to 3rd string QB at OU even though he's a captain, and Stoops has given him an open transfer to anywhere (including Big XII). Looks like KSU may be a good spot for him.
