buckthis,
It really depends on what kind of fishing. In most cases, as others has said it doesn't equal due to the extra gear necessary. Factor gas for the 20-50 mile trip offshore and back plus plenty of gas to run while you're out, switch spots, etc.

Then bait can be expensive too as well as beer, food and other supplies. And also tackle, since realistically, you'll be losing tackle.

Party said, " a couple pulls fine, but watching a bunch of dudes swing back and forth behind a boat all day is in my past! lol"
So, Watching guys swing back and forth across the wake is No Good, but watching guys hang their rod over your rail all day is fine?
to Vette, and I thought wakeboarding was expensive!
Has anyone ever seen a mastercraft fishing boat(not sure of the year) that boat put out a huge wake for surfing, maybe its time to trade in the malibu?
The wake doesn't look very good for boarding though.

Looks pretty awful for fishing. One of the great things about fishing out of a center console is not having to worry about seats being in the way as you walk around the boat. That boat pretty much ruins that.

You've never met my fishing partner apparently.
