What kickers, slides or rails have you experienced that were impressive and which ones were not? How many and where on a full system? Who has the best and why?
Thanks in advance!

My personal favorite is a rooftop rail (up then down) about 1 foot wide. Very versatile and fun for all skill levels. I like incline rails a lot too.

As for placement, just ensure there's enough room between obstacles to do nice lines (hitting 2 or 3 obstacles in a pass instead of having to choose 1 of 3 and then the next group is too close to hit one or all of them).

I like the Unit features. Parks that have some unit features and then a few custom features seem to get a better response. And changing up the features is a good plan. I know a number of parks that have not added new features over the years tend to cause the better riders to drive to different parks. In the past a number of parks did not have any competition so they did not worry about setting up new features. Now parks are within 4-5 hours drive so better riders will travel if better features are available.
