I know your comment is hyperbole, but every time I see one of these comments I cannot help but do this:

By the way, on the flip side of your frozen asses, we are having record drought and record high temps here. It was nearly 80º the other day, when daytime highs average in the mid-high 50's.

chavez, just poking fun at all the "experts" when in truth no one knows what's going on.
It's really funny when the local weather talking heads say "this is the longest cold stretch here since 1978-79... and did we mention that was also the last time blizzard conditions were experienced! Turn to WXYZ news for continued coverage of the blizzard of 2014... if it happens."
I've seen some of the pictures coming out of California showing lakes at all time lows. I'll take my frost bitten with drinking water available conditions over your hot and dehydrated ones any day.

boardordie, it's bad this year, but it goes in cycles. We are only a few years removed from full reservoirs and massive snowpacks. They will return soon enough.
Drinking/Municipal water is available, that's not the problem. It's agriculture, and the entire country (and world, for that matter) can be affected by the dry conditions we are experiencing here.

Time for another El Nino season.
TX is struggling with drought still, too...lakes keep dropping. We could all use some GW right about now since rainfalls usually increase with that type of pattern.

Look he invented the interwebs and other amazing things that are in his lock box. Just because he had to reverse from global warming to climate change to climate disruption doesn't mean he is wrong because, last I checked politicians are pinnacles of scientific thought and expression.

Meanwhile at the McMurdo science station in Antarctica, they had 14/15 days of the first half of January over freezing. Also a record 4 days straight of above 40 degrees. This while we were experiencing record cold spells.
Last summer in July as we were experiencing most record heat, Antarctica measured their coldest temperature ever.
Its gotten to the point where you have to ignore the politics of it, all the stupidity surrounding armchair scientists who only know chemistry and physics they read on Yahoo! News, and just live your life knowing this is just gonna happen and we have to deal with climate change as we continue to change the atmospheric composition. <---fact by the way
