Proud Moment

Just had to share. My wife has finished her last semester of just classes and goes on to her student teaching starting after the first of the year. She got placed in the school she desired, which is the elementary school both our boys went to and the closest school to our house. In addition, she got placed with a teacher that is one of six finalists for teacher of the year. Needless to say, she is excited to teach with a good teacher at a great school.

I am very proud of her for all the hard work thus far and the fact she chose a great profession. I pray she is able to positively impact kids' lives throughout her career.

Okie Boarder, I applaud her achievement, but now the real work starts! My ex is a teacher and I've never seen a profession with more after hours work and prep time. Takes a special kind of person Wink

Thanks guys. K-wood...tell me about it. Both my parents were in education, so I grew up seeing it.

I'm not sure if I should say congrats or good luck! My mother is retiring after this spring after teaching for 26 years and she's never been readier to be done I think.
