Looking at some new years options this year and finding that Cabo is one of the cheaper places to get to last minute.

Any thoughts on going for new years with buddies? 3 of us, all single, all trouble finding and adventure seaking.

The 3 hotels that seem to be options are:Wyndham, Royal Solaris and RIU.

any experience / tips / recos?

It's been a while, but I stayed at a RIU. Booze was good, pools good, beach good, rooms good, but the food was middling at best. They tried to cook more American style most of the time which they clearly were not great at, but one night they went local and it was the best of the bunch.

Anyhow, that's all I got.

Royal Solaris is in San Jose and Riu is in the Corridor, so 20-30 minute taxi ride to downtown (bar scene). I believe they are also all-inclusive, which isn't my preference but many people like them. There are two Riu's in Cabo, so find out which one as I think one is more a honeymooner spot. Wyndham is near the marina, so it would be the closest to bars and Medano beach where all the action is.
