So for the second year in a row, have brought the offspring to Cancun for Spring Break... There are worse ways I could dump cash.... Very Happy

They keep trying to serve the LM drinks, but he has no interest(15)... Maybe not so much trying, he just looks 18....

Having an amazing time....could make a habit of this.

They're up preparing for the evening & I am having a cigar on the beach... came on to post a pic, but the old guy can't figure out this newfangled iPad.... Laughing

E.J., Took my 15 year old (now 19) to Ireland on a pub tour. They didn't question her age either - but, she wasn't into much of the dark beer... She did like the Bulmers Apple Cider though - so I'm thinking of having some shipped for her 21st - anyway, I know what you mean about the amazing times - best memories are vacations during the teenage years Very Happy

These iPads are a pain in the ass when trying to post pictures. I regret ever buying one, I can do more on my droid than this. Some forums support tapatalk app which lets you upload.

Never been to cancun, it's on the to do list.

3MileBayWaker, use DropBox - upload to "public" folder and use the IMG tag. Or use PhotoBucket, Flickr or another picture host.

Neither OS allows websites to access the file system directly, and for very good reason.

DropBox is a service that has an app that, in essence, has become the de facto file system for iOS.

If you want, you can use this link and give me an extra 250mb of free space. DROPBOX SIGNUP Laughing

They offer enterprise-class security for files hosted on their site. They also have the best desktop sync tool in their segment. Really, an excellent service that just keeps getting better.

I cannot recommend them enough.

Mike Isler, last time we were in SB we went to Brewing Co on State. It was "ok". Their house brews weren't the best then, but their location was killer. IIRC they had some damn good wings. I've got higher hopes for SB Brewhouse - it seems they are a more serious brew shop.

Brewhouse is definitely the better of the two. Brewing Co is more college oriented, less craft beer selection. I remember steak bites at Brewhouse being pretty tasty.

I can't wait for summer. I'm going to cancun one week in June with the family and then for five days in August for my best friend's bachelor party. It's going to be awesome.

Back....ugh... Mad

Had a GREAT TIME. Think the kids even had a better time than us....

Few pics...not some of your idea of "Spring Break"....but for us, it was ideal.

The Beach Palace, which I was more than happy with.

View from the room... The plan was to upgrade to ocean view when we got there, but we were more than pleased with our lagoon view and didn't.

The room...

The in-room fridge & bar... Nice to have those sodas, juice boxes and even popsicles for the Little One...

Well this is my spring break... for a couple weeks anyway, staying at this house and playing some golf.

If anyone has some "real" spring break pictures like that other thread, PLEASE post!

Naw - if the kids don't have a bunch of other absences or low grades, the school's usually good with it. My daughter and I did 3 weeks near spring break in Ireland, she had some work to take with her that she was able to finish on the plane - and her PE teacher gave her a pedometer and she had to show she walked at least 2 miles per day (not a problem - we did more like 10)...

Just back as well. Got to play the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills right after the LPGA tournament last week. Grandstands and everything were still in place which was cool and greens were still running very quick!

I think it's just the angle, it's actually a fairly large flat green. That hole is a par 5 so coming in with a fairway wood would be trickier for sure, but with the water in front I just laid up and had a short wedge in. No problems sticking that green on a short 3rd shot approach.

Nice. We are supposed to go to Bermuda for spring break now that my bud is living there... But as of right now airfare is almost 1k each so we would be at 3k before we even parked our asses in the sand.

Hoping airfare comes down as we get closer, but if not other plans will be made.
