I can't believe how long I have known some of you on this forum. And many of you know that I have wanted to move for a long time.

Well, it seems like it is finally happening. Socal, here I come.

8824, definitely nice. My bro moved down to Lake Forest last year and they have been doing very well. That whole area is blowing up.

Is your bro still doing the music thing?

I still can't believe it's happening. Been close a few times. Bubb Rubb winter! LOL

8824, different bro. Music bro is the youngest of my siblings.

Bubb rubb winter indeed. I wore shorts and flip flops in the OC in December and February recently.

This isn't another one of those false starts is it? Wink

Seriously though, if you're passing through the Bay Area, gimme a shout.

I know there has been a few of those. If we don't make it there, we will be screwed from so many angles.

Everything is signed, sealed and just booked the movers. We should be good to go.

I plan on going up to the bay area a bunch. My sister lives in norcal and we have many friends up. If you ever want to come down to socal, let me know.

Do you like dogs? We will be looking for a dog sitter. Smile We pay well.

8824, we used to take dates for $5 lobster dinners in Rosarito, guessing inflation has caught up on that price as it was 10-years ago.

We have had a real tuff time the last few years. Most of these things were not the result of anything we did. Family concerns. Now that things are stabilized, everything has come together on both personal and professional levels.

Certainly been humbled. Funny, how everything is perfect and then one event that you have no control over can consume so much of your life.

Hopefully, this will be a great new start for us.

Fo sho. When I first joined WS.com they accused me of being him. For like a month I tried to convince everyone I was not the infamous Grouch!

Where does he live?

He used to live near Yorba Linda, but now??? I've lost track of him since I moved north. Bethany, might know but for the most part I think he fell off the grid.

AGB!

Congrats on the move.

We've false started a couple of times on moving, but are once again seriously considering making a move. We would be walking away from a lot (a whole lot), but we both think it may be time. Deciding where, job hunting, undoing a whole lot of deals here, etc. is overwhelming and has killed the deal the last couple of times though.

I echo all those same concerns. However, I would regret not doing this later on.

It took years for everything to come together. I just keep thinking about, new music venues, restaurants, a festival that I have not gone to 30xs before and just the overall fresh start.

Making new friends and connecting with people I only know electronically will be awesome. stuff, I have known some of these peeps for nearly 10 years.

That's where we're at. I walked away from a great opportunity 7 years ago in the place I've wanted to move to for as long as I could remember because my wife was influenced by her parents and got cold feet. Every year we talk about it again, but over the last year or so she's flipped and wants to get away and try something new. The problem is in that 7 years we've started a business, bought properties, had kids, and I'm sitting in a partnership in my day to day job that would be tough to walk from. We'll see where it goes.

Awesome landing spot! Now just take 5 or 6 of your closest buddies out for a surf at Trestles. The locals there are known to be pretty friendly. Wink

Boardshorts over the wetsuit right?

I am putting a spatula in the car/truck. Yes, so when my windshield gets waxed I can clean it off for the drive home. Would an ice crapper work?

I guess I never encountered that, but I also kept my guard shorts on the dash. Best parking pass ever.

BTW, Wedge went off recently:

West or East of I5? Laughing
I'll be cruising thru there soon. Actually there's a job posting for my former stomping grounds over that over looks the glider port and south course of TP golf course.

Yes Jester- it's that place. Wink
