very cool.

However, I am surprised the construction of the boards lighting looks so dangerous. Metal bolts sticking up, metal 90* angles popping up 1" above the board... I am new to wakeboarding so maybe that kind of thing isn't a threat to the rider.

rowlex, Not too much of a concern for people riding at that level. Realistically, so long as you aren't ripped out of the bindings or put your hand in a weird spot, they're out of the way, and nothing they did was too crazy to cause any of that to happen (at least for pros anyway). Could it have been done better/safer? Maybe, but not sure it would hold up to the stresses wakeboards are put under.

gotcha, and since we have been boarding more these past few weekends i am finding that out. even in the chop we end up having to ride in board stays on..

it is really hard to find smooth water here. dying to ride on some glassy water!
