I've been on the Ronix Vault but haven't had a chance to ride the Valhalla yet. The Vault is a good board for that beginner/intermediate rider but if you're more advanced than that I'd check out a higher end board. The Vault is excellent though for helping riders to progress to that next level since it is a toeside/heelside board. This helps riders to learn the basics on edging both ways, digging in deeper on those toeside turns to gain more control and stability.

Overall it's a great board for that group of riders, plus the graphics look sick this year!

hey there

I just bought the Valhalla and am returning it today. Way to "slippery"
for my liking...thinking of exchanging for the Vault.

Did u get one yet?

I've ridden the vault a few times.
Also wife rides the equivelant Ronix ladies board (model name escapes me) which is apparently made in identical mould.

Depends how much you ride, whether you would consider a Vault.
Ultra sticky board with the centre fin in.

Unfortunately no experience with the Vahalla.
However might make some enemies by saying this, O'Briens myself or people I know have tested have no been popular. I really don't know so I won't say more.

Ronix does ride fairly different from most brands, especially the entry level stuff with very wide boards.
The Vault is extremely stable. Good to learn on and perfect for my wife who has no patience and a lot of fear.

In my opinion the riding a Vault gets a big boring, as you get better you want some slide. And learning to use the rails for grip.

Personally an LF fan, only been riding for 2 years. Still riding the board I learned on being a LF Trip. But tried a bunch more when buying it and tried friends stuff.
The Trip does find a good balance when learning and kept me addicted and interested for a couple of years.
Only just now contemplating updating. But decided to opt for lessons instead, and stick with the trip one more season. Unless the Watson I'm watching gets cheaper with winter here in OZ.

Hope that helps
