My son has outgrown his board and purchased him a new Hyperlite State 135, this is way bigger than is 119 and I attached a picture. I am trying to decide if I should move the bindings to the center and I am trying to set binding similar to his old board.

he is going on 12, weight around 110 foot 9 1/2

any suggestions on how to setup board is appreciated, I am not a wakeboarder

I have his Motive on sale with this site also

thanks for help

Have him stand with his feet a little more then shoulder width apart, that's how the bindings should be set up. Age weight and foot size are non factors

12 deg ducked would be a good start point. 135 sounds a little big for a 12yo so prob 1 hole in from widest setting? If he's tall for his age then all the way out!

You want the bindings ducked out, how far will be a personal preference thing

if you look at my picture I have the left boot turned to the left and the right boot slightly turned to the right. It is hard to see or tell the numbers on the bindings.

does this look correct

thanks for help, he is pretty big for his age. growing like crazy and wearing a men's 9 1/2 shoe

thanks for help

Quick hijacking of this thread:

What's the biggest benefit of having a wide stance?
I am an average build male riding a LF S4 138 and I'm using the center stance.. should I switch to a wider stance?

The advantage is being able to bend and absorbed the impact of landings. Try a little experiment, stand with your feet close together and try to do a squat. Most likely you can't do it without falling over. Now spread your feet farther then shoulder width and duck (left foot at 11 right foot at 1) your feet out. You'll see that you can do a standing squat with good balance, this is what you want

Thanks everyone we got out yesterday and battled the cold weather, he got right up the first time and liked the board. I plan on getting him a lesson down at LOTO this year as I have no idea what to tell him.

Thanks everyone

thanks for the picture STX Racer - also a very cool picture
