So I was tweaking my Toe backroll yesterday and working on going roll to revert. The video is my weird looking backroll, I was also pulling the handle into my right hip and landing switch (revert). Would you guys still consider this a roll or something else? Sorry I didn't get any clean ones on video and I tore 3 callus's of my left hand on this one, and tore 2 off my right hand last week. Looks like I might have to be glove guy at the cable

You've got too much line tension going to your rear arm which is causing you to sorta spin in the air. Either pull the rope in closer to your hip with your right only being a guide and not pulling at all, or before you leave the ramp, let go with your rear hand and you'll have it no problem, as long as you spot your landing.
^^ thanks for the advice but I can do a regular back roll. This is me experimenting with it and wanted some opinions on this tweaked version and if it is still considered a backroll or something else
Haha my bad bro! I went straight to the video and didn't read the description Way to jump the gun, I guess
It would still be considered a toe backroll, just a little more "sloppy" looking. If you pull it to revert (noticeably) and then land regular, it would just be a toeside backroll shifty.
Yeah, looks like just a sloppy roll. Like the missing link between a roll and an s-bend or something, haha. If you want to work on tweaking things out a bit, try grabs.
It might actually look kinda cool with like a tail grab or something if you take it big and slow. I think the biggest problem is that this looks more like an 'oops' than something you meant to do.
I think sliping out the front on that landing gives it more of the "wtf" look. i wish i had some of the clean ones on tape. I think I'm going to keep playing with it and see where it goes. Taking it Pete could be really sick, I think I might try hucking a few of those Sunday. Thanks for the input guys.
