I"ve got an 86 Supra. This past winter I bought a surf board, 1-because they're fun. 2-because my dad blew his knee out barefooting a few years ago and I want him to get back behind the boat!
So anyone familiar with this boat knows it's not exactly the quietest thing out there. Sometimes it's hard to even hear the Pro-60's when my sisters waterski!
So I'm looking at getting some silencers for the exhaust, just so it's quieter for surfing and under power for skiing/wakeboardering.
Maybe I'm just getting old! Laughing
So I found these....

Anyone have any experience with these or any other type of silencer?
The hose is 3" and I only have 10" to deal with lengthwise. I can cut up to 2" maybe off the exhaust tube that goes under the floor to accommodate little longer silencer.
If the attenuation is as good as advertised 8-12db is pretty impressive.

Any thoughts?
Ryan

ridininmd, Thanks. Thats actually a pretty cool piece.
No way in hell am I dropping 450 on some tubes and hose clamps though...but I'm pretty sure I can make that...

yeah they're overpriced for sure, just showing an example of what you can do. Shouldn't be hard to build one of them at all.

Oh yeah man no doubt, I appreciate it. That seems like a pretty good idea.
