Hey guys whats up? I am lookin at a project of installing an engine in a 2001 Xstar which is obviously a Vdrive.... I have a direct drive mercruiser that will fit great but it is a direct drive engine.... I know you can install it with a little extra work.... Was wondering if anyone had any tips or knew the procedure to do that? Any help would be awesome! _________________ Whats the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? I would think that if you turned it around the right direction and mated it up with a v-drive unit rather than the direct transmission, it would work, as long as the bolt patterns would mate up. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Thats what I was thinking.... just wondering if it was really that "simple" cause it rarely seems to be with a boat _________________ Whats the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? A pickpocket snatches watches. |

that would work, you just need to make sure the rotation is going to match up. (dont want to put in reverse to go forward. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |
