Hi, I have been wakeboarding for 2 or 3 years now and I currently ride a 99 board. I desperately need to upgrade. I am just starting to clear the wake and want a board that will be an intermediate board that will last me for a while as I progress. I am currently looking at the liquid force trip is that a good match for me? I really dont want to spend more than 300 at the most 350.

devcrin, Well, there is a LOT out there when it comes to board choice as I'm sure you know. The Trip is a staple in the wakeboard world. A tried-and-true shape that's a good, safe bet.

I would recommend looking at closeout deals on websites or your local shop. You can get some amazing deals on brand new boards and they will only be a season or two old, not much different from a 2013 deck.

As you'll always see people recommend, try and ride a few different boards to see what you do and don't like. The biggest thing about wakeboards is personal preference. If you stick to any of the big brands, you're going to at least get something decent for the most part.

I did a quick write-up that goes in to a little more detail here: http://wakethings.blogspot.com/2013/02/countdown-5-tips-for-buying-wakeboard.html
