Are there any vests that offer good floatation? I'm in need of a new lifejacket this summer since I lost some weight.

Stay away from the cardigan-type vests then. LF's Flex is a bit thicker (and looks great too). Last year's Watson was the same, not sure about the new one.

If you looking for good flotation the LF vortex vest is pretty awesome. Its CGA but the most comfortable/flexible one ive ever ridden. I got it for the cable because of the cga rule but honestly sometimes I grab it for the boat because its comfy.

The vortex has been a popular vest. The Watson CGA has also been pretty good last year and the start of this season.

The non coast guard stuff still has very little float for the pullover style vests.
