Did y'all see this?

Good for her for realizing what she was doing was wrong and hateful and getting away from it. Man, that has gotta be tough...she made a decision that has now alienated herself from her family.

And this was good to see too...

What's truly interesting in my opinion, is how much this shows how many people's beliefs are developed while they're children and adolescents when they parents are essentially imposing their own beliefs on their children, rather than their children ever developing their own beliefs on their own.

Whether it's Catholicism, Buddhism, Islam, Westboro Baptists, etc. in the end how many of those people believe what they believe because it was hammered home to them from the time they left the womb? I'm not saying one is right or wrong, or that they're evil, but there is a certain level of "brainwashing" that goes on with every religion. Once it's been hammered into you your whole life, and you've never known anything else, it's pretty hard to ever look at your religion objectively, and of course, this is also usually carried on from generation to generation.

This example really illustrates that, and explains why that while people outside of the WBC can easily see how twisted and messed up their beliefs are, they continue to exist and even grow their membership. Good to see that once these girls were exposed to some other points of view they realized that.
