You're going to see a big difference in comp vests vs. true life vests. The good news is though, that most modern vests are made well and with comfort in mind. Even though you're dealing with extra flotation, you still have full range of movement and comfort. I haven't been vest shopping in a few years but if you are able to swing by a local shop and try a few on, do that. It's kind of like bindings, all are modern and are all pretty comfy, but you need to find a good fit for you.

Sun & ski sports, at a mall. They had 25% off all wake gear and this was actually considered a demo vest even though it was never worn and they gave me a total of 35% off. Basically stumbled into it.

The vortex was a really popular LF vest last season.. even not on closeout the vest is pretty cheap compared to some of the really high end CGA vests on the market. The Capella from ronix has been very popular but that vest is pretty high at $139.
