My husband bought me a wakeskate for Christmas. I have skiied most of my life and wakeboarded the past 5 summers. I love playing on the water. I have had 4 knee surgeries and he thought the skate may be a little better on the knees that the wakeboard. I have never wakeskated, so I would appreciate any info you can offer. Do you get up the same as you would on a wakeboard? what is a good boat speed to skate? where can I find some good instructional videos/advice? Thanks! Ready for warm weather now!
jbcs16, Lots of info if you search wakeskating.com. You get up pretty much the same as on a wakeboard, just have to be a little more careful to make sure the board sticks to your feet. May take you a few tries but if you're comfortable on the water you'll be good.
Skate at 20 mph or so. Don't do a split with that bad knee. Try "Snap" for a very good through instructional video. _________________ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
