My wife got me an Oneill Gorru GBS 2/3 Wetsuit LT. Having never owned a wetsuit, nor tried one on, I am wondering if this suit is a bit too tight on me. I found the Chart on the O'Neill web page which basically indicates the suit I received is too small for my body size.
I am 6'2" tall, 217 lbs, 42" chest, 41" hips, 16.5" neck. When we were in L.A., they had a surf competition and an Oneill rep that I spoke with then said I probably needed an XLT. Looking at the chart on O'neill's website, I think the XLT might fit, but the XXL more matches my body size. I think the LT suit I received is a bit too tight, but am not sure if it is supposed to be as extremely snug as it is.
Basically, when I try on the suit, it does seem rather tight to pull on over my legs, and when it is completely on, I feel like I might stretch and tear the material. Also, I feel like I am being choked with the one I received.
Rather than damage something that is new, and ruin the chance of returning it, are there any other guidelines for sizing a wetsuit? Since my wife ordered this through Amazon, I don't have the option of supporting my local store, and the luxury of easy swap-out there.

You know it's too small. It should squeeze gently against your skin, but not restrict your breathing. _________________ rally to the wake |
