I found a 89 ski nautique sport model wanted to know a few things
1 is the hull the same as the 2001?
2 what would be a good price if it is not running and has been i the water for 2 years. will need a buff job and some interior work.

Im looking on something to wakesurf a bit b/c I cracked my heal and after a few runs my heal hurt from the pounding.
I currently have a 88 deep V regal 19ft
highfive prop 1500 pound of ballast
monster tower and a few other things

Not same hull as 2001's. Be aware that it has wood floor and stringers. Value depends on what needs to be done to get it running, how much interior work it needs, how bad floor and stringers are etc. I'd say maybe 3-4K? Show some pics if you have them.

I would probably do all the interior being at least 50% is already gone. he is asking 3700
it looks sun beat and see how he it looks now I well bet the floor will have some soft spots and the stringer will be going. I dont mind a project I do them all the time and I like to build it to my ideal boat setup just dont want to over pay

If it's an 89 Nautique and not a 2001 or a Sport, the wake is going to be vastly inferior to those boats. I personally would never consider buying one for wakeboarding. It would be great for slaloming tho.

Look for a 2001, Sport Nautique, or Excel around that same era. Great wakes for the price. Some guys here would know better but I think some Supras from that era have good wakes too. The Saltaire maybe..?

I used to have the Nautique 2001 and to be honest the wake was good for wakeboarding but I had to put a lot of weight in it which took up all the floor space. I actually put in a ballast system with reversible pumps and everything and it just really never panned out the way I wanted it to, so I sold it and how a Mobius LSV. I would doubt that even if you had a 2001 that the surf wake would be that great, you really need a bigger boat.

I would look at the old sunsport or something like that. I would say that the nautique sport would even be worse than the 2001, they are also not the same hull design. All models are different even when looking at the barefoot vs the 2001.

Oh, surf.. yeah those boats are a little small to surf on. You should really be looking for a V-drive to get a good surf wake. The cheapest is the Nautique Excel if you can find one!

Correct. The 2001-wave is absolutely surfable, but there's definitely better waves out there.
