what you guys think, the amps will show my age...lol
pioneer h/u 9800
2 sets of kicker kmt60 on the tower
2 sets of jbl ms6200{in the boat}
1 power bass 10" 500rms {double stack}
amp for the high end is a US ACOUSTICS 6300
six channel{50x4 150x2rms}
sub amp LANZAR OPTIDRIVE 2200
{2x200rms}
both amps are old school USA made, not new junk!
all wire is kicker
power wire in 0 gauge
150 amp fused
2 batts. |

ohh yeah the amps will be on a custom amp rack behind pass seat and under dash. sub in a custom laid fiberglass box. and its slot loaded port!!!!! |

Your setup is very similar to mine. The only problem I see is you are going to be underpowering those tower speakers, and you will NOT like the way they sound.
I understand that you already have the amps listed, but you need to get more power to the tower, and kicker also recommends not bridging channels for the tower speakers.
I have the KMT60s on my tower (see in my share your boat post). I am running the Kicker Marine 450.2 amp to them (225 per channel is what is recommended). I am also running a 50 x 4 for my inboat speakers (which are Rockford Fosgate M262B), and my sub (Infinity) is run by a mtx single channel 400 watt sub amp.
I underpowered my kickers when I first got them. Trust me, bad move. Other than the tower amp, you look to have everything in order. Good luck with the project! |
