My dad is giving me an old tower. I want to get a graphics card so I can hook it up to my tv via HDMI. It will also be one I start letting the kids use. I am not looking to get anything fancy, just the cheapest that will work. They have them at newegg for about $30 that have a VGA, HDMI, and DVI output on them. Do those support two monitors if you have one hooked up to the VGA and one to the DVI? I would like the potential to hook up to monitors down the road. |

If its an older tower I would make sure you know which type of slot it has for a VC before you shop. The slots have changed quite a bit over the past years. The card specs should tell you if it supports dual monitors or not. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

Nooga678, yes, you should be able to run dual monitor on just about any video card that is less than 5-7 years old.
I agree with Rhawn. You need to know what slots are available before you blindly buy a card. Could be PCI-e, AGP, or none of the above. Hopefully, you have a newer PCI-e slot at your disposal. _________________
