Sick, sick, sick. The place is amazing. Gets real cold, so bring wetsuits. Waco is tiny and Axtell (where the cable is) is practically nonexistent. It isn't in the phone registry and there are no hotels in town. Get good directions and don't expect a lot of civilization.

Awesome, so Ill bring my full suit and expect no lines? I know Waco sucks so when I found out there was a cable I was stoked to say the least. Especially after my Mccormick's fiasco earlier this year.

I have heard good stuff about BSR. You can probably find places to stay in Waco. Not sure how far out of town BSR is but a bunch of the Austin guys have been driving to BSR to ride instead of driving south to ride at TSR.

If you are going to come in from TN you might want to look at Hydrous also. Would be worth a trip if you are going to be in texas for a while.

I would call or email ahead and make sure that they are going to be open when you are planning your trip.

I don't know what the lines would be like because I never rode during public hours. And like flix said, take a look at the possibility of driving to another cable. Might as well while you're there.

BSR is only about 30 minutes from my house! I live on Lake Mexia, and have a boat, so I don't ride cable. Just started riding this year though. I did stop by and look at the facility, and was very impressed! If you need anything while you are in the area, let me know. Lived here all my life......

I put the boat in the shop last week to be winterized, so I wont be using it anymore this season. At my age (50) water sports arent nearly as attractive when it gets cold! I will be at it again next spring though and would welcome an extra rider. You have my email so let me know if you are in the area when it warms up.

Went yesterday afternoon. Had to take the swim of shame after my first attempt off the dock but then had no problems. Hittin obstacles is such a different riding experience. I'm definitely hooked and goin back tomorrow.
