I am looking into purchasing a 2000 SAN. I have already checked the boat and ridden in and behind it. It will be used 95% wakeboarding. The other 5% will be wakeskating and skiing.

In the future, will I be able to get a decent wave out of this boat if I want to get into surfing?

Not the very best wave there is, but definitely doable.
Which one are you looking at? Great boats, I'm jealous!
Check Planetnautique for best way to weight it for surfing.

I have heard only one side produces an ideal wake due to the natural curl from the prop. I looked at buying one, and the owner said that. I haven't experienced it for myself though. However, those have to be my favorite boats to wakeboard behind.

FlyZone CR, Yeah that is what I heard, but I asked on PN as well and there are some pics of some pretty good waves. I have never surfed before so I will be happy with any wave for now. The boat is being bought for about 95% wakeboarding and the other 5% random water activities.

Here is the one I am getting. Picking it up Tuesday, I will add photos when I pick it up and figure out how to add them.

rmaytee, Thats good to hear because I am going to be mostly wakeboarding. I have ridden the wake and really like it. I will up date youll on the wave if I ever get it dialed.

Yeah saw your thread there. Some nice waves in those pics. Nice job, can't wait to upgrade to a SAN in the future.
