Was curious if anyone has any experience with wakeboarding in the ocean? Watched a few videos of guys killing it in the surf riding behind a wave runner and it really looks like alot of fun. Looks MUCH harder then cable or regular boat boarding but I imagine it's real good for your riding in general. Anyway here is one video I saw that I really liked. I would definitely like to hear about anyone's experience whose tried it.

I've only been winching. Kinda hard to time the waves sometimes but it's a blast.

Been wanting/planning to do this for a year now, just doesn't happen... Soon though, gotta arrange it! Think it'll be superfun. Don't know if it's harder, definitely different. And I think the driver, more than behind the boat, can make or break your set.

in DEFY (Danny Harf video), there's a section where they all went to a beach in australia and surfed some man height barreling waves with their wakeboards. seadoo towed them at what looks like 25+ speed along the wave's front, they then let go and actually surfed/pumped/carved the wave. i guess it's fun if you can manage it well

Oh absolutely. I wouldn't let just anyone drive my wave runner. Hopefully can give it a shot before it gets too cold here. Cool
