Obviously more reasonable the better (i.e. 25k group below). However want to be happy with it for years to come, so looking for overall value.
Uses:
Primary - wakeboarding - 6 - 40 year olds beginner to intermediate currently
Secondary - wakesurfing - all beginners currently
Passengers - Typically 4 - 6, occasionally up to 10 - 12 (including kids). Generally like space.
Lake - We can typically find relatively calm areas other than super windy or the occasional busy days. However, obviously want to handle when there is some chop decently. Have cabin, so trailering and storage not a big concern.
Not used for - fishing, tubing, skiing, a ton of cruising
Below is a list of boats relatively close, that have good/decent hours, condition and feature sets (pp, ballast, vdrive, wrap around seating, etc). I've looked at a few in person, but really need to narrow it down to get serious about a couple.
So the point of this post is - if anything stands out in any way good/bad/average, whatever, please comment. Yes I have scoured this message board and many others about options on several models already and have some opinions of my own, but don't want to pre-taint any commentary.

Based on boats I've ridden.
Myself for the <25K ish price point
00-03 Xstar/X2
00-03 Wakesetter
00-03 SAN If you like this style of wake (I don't)
25-30k ish
same but newer models
30-35K ish
Supra 21V or 05 X2 or Wakesetter
At 35K I would just figure out a way to poney the extra money for a older pickle fork Star.
Obviously, test ride and come to your own conclusion.
SAN 230 is the best I've been behind |

Honestly, I agree with everything above. I would avoid the Supras. Personally, I would look at the following:
V-Drive Mastercraft
V-Drive Malibu
V-Drive Nautiques
I'm in "the same boat" (lol) and have decided to finance a little bit (<20%) and upgrade a little. The rest is cash. |
