hello guys, i´m kinda new on wakeboarding, so I wanted to get some answers.
I was looking for some models of wakeboard, and i really like the Liquidforce Watson Ltd
http://www.liquidforce.com/wakeboards-watson-ltd.html
But i was reading the description, and it says that is good for cable riding, I wanted to know if it is also good for wakeboarding on a regular boat, because here where i live there´s not a cable really close.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

I don't know what to tell you but the first sentence says:

The Watson Hybrid truly can do it all… Blast some double-up’s behind the BROstock towboat, then head to the Cable and hit rails the rest of the day.

To me I read that it is an all around board.

It works fine behind the boat but it's a pretty quick board so it depends what you like behind the boat. If you like a quicker deck with some flex, it's a great buy all-around.

It's BY FAR my favorite cable/rail deck that I've been on but I prefer to ride something else behind the boat since I like a little more rocker/stiffer boards for that.

Hi,

Not sure if my 2c is worth anything as Ive only been wakeboarding for a few months.
but my first board is a watson Classic 138.

I use it for cable and for getting pulled by the boat. I really enjoy it, not that I know anything else except the 2 boards my friends have and I prefer the watson.

Just to note, the Watson classic and Hybrid are VERY different. Both excellent boards though.

yep. there are a lot of different watsons

watson classic is a non grind base
watson classis ltd is the same board with a grind base
watson hybrid is a flex board that you can ride boat or cable

there are more models than this but these are the ones you are talking about. I have a classic and a classic ltd. I just switch my bindings from board to board depending on what I'm riding behind. Ive never really looked it up but i think the ltd (grind base) is a little heavier????

anw7405, Classic ltd jay be a bit heavier but hardly and definitely won't affect the ride/be really noticeable when riding. Only reason is the additonal grind-base layer.

I agree. the first one I bought was the ltd 138. I gained a little weight so i picked up a classic 142 for $70 on craigslist. I still ride the 138 at the cable though.
