Hello everyone, I've been riding for about 3 years now and im finally getting a house on a lake with a boat. I've been using my friends board for these past few years and we started off on a crappy cosco childs board and upgraded to a newer liquid force last year. Due to this i've realized how important a board can be and the time has come for me to purchase my own. I'm looking at the 2012 SS recoil because i like the idea of a flex board and its gotten some good reviews. I'm not to sure on what bindings to get i was looking at ronix reliks but what is the difference between these and a pair of closed toes that cost $100 less? my riding experience is not to advanced: w2w, ole 180s, w2w 180s and im starting to learn backrolls and 360s. ill mostly be riding behind a boat but i will go to the park maybe once a summer. any useful info or opinions are welcome thanks

I personally wouldn't recommend a slingshot board for your first "Real" board, just because they are ridiculously slippery. Carving on it is soo different from other boards. It'll be a big learning curve, but if you really want it, in a few years you'll be one of few people who can ride a slingshot board well behind a boat. Like I honestly don't understand how people like Oli Derome can do what they do on slingshot boards. But, if the super slippery board isn't what you want, but you still want flex, go with either the Ronix Phoenix Project or the Liquid Force FLX. I prefer the phoenix project, but the FLX is pretty sick too, or so I've heard.
