LF 2012 Board/ Binding upgrade - your advice please!

Last year bought 2010 135 LF Lyman/ 2010 Shane bindings. To my dismay, the binding laces continulally broke and the bottom stitching came open pretty soon after purchase. Board also chipped and dented very easily, although cared for.

My local shop has a sale on (only)2012 LF boards and bindings. I'm looking at the 138 S4 or Watson Classic and perhaps the new Soven or Watson bindings.
tried the 2011 S4 once and found it a great ride. 2012 bindings all have thicker srtonger looking lace systems.

Any advice or input for a new set-up? I can't demo before I buy!! I'm intermediate weighing about 75 kgs.

You can't really go wrong with either setup. All are high-end pro decks/boots. If you liked the ride of the S4 you may as well pick that up but the Watson is great as well.

The watson classic was a great board. You will not see it next season in the 2013 LF line. That board was ridden by more pro riders than any shape but LF has decided to remove it from the standard line. You should have had your local shop warranty the 2010 Shane bindings if they broke before 1 year of purchase. We do have 1 of the S4 138 boards left in stock for 2012 at Boardstop.com.

this makes me sad. Thats like chevy not making the corvette any longer.
