So...this may be a stupid question, but has anyone ever tried wake boarding with aqua socks?
I have a pair that I used to wear for white water rafting when I'd do class V and wanted to make just I had a strong foothold. I was thinking last night they might help get a tighter fit in the binding, but thought it would be interesting to see if anyone ever did anything like that...just a thought. |

i have CWB Hingetechs, they are plenty tight. but you dont want super tight, cuz if you fall hard enough i prefer to come out of them instead of me being attatched to the board _________________ Lanexa VA |

Yeah, I guess I was just looking at it from a snowboard binding POV...where tighter is almost always better.
But come to think of it, what you described above is exactly why my achilles still hurts from a fall almost 4 weeks ago lol |

ive broken both my ankles (only one was wake related) and torn my miniscus from a 1 foot in 1 foot out fall... its always best to come fully out of and away from the board (scorpions suck too)
the other ankle was alcohol related _________________ Lanexa VA |

Oh gosh...anything you can do to ensure you will come out, other than the obvious not making your bindings ridiculously tight? Do you just strap tight enough to have no wiggle room, and not a bit more?
Gotta love alcohol related injuries...I have a decent sized mark on my arm that will never go away from one of those, involving camping, a fire and a very poor decision lol |

mine was dropping a iphone into a pool and deciding to dive in after it
i usually make my bindings like you said... tight, but leave just a little bit of wiggle room. i can usually wiggle my heels about 1/4" left or right _________________ Lanexa VA |

| i'm uneasy about having my bindings loose enough that i can come out of it.... if i do crash big and only one foot comes out, the knee on my other leg would be destroyed... |

16 beers, 3 irish car bombs, and 5 jager bombs.... Walking by pool using phone light, phone slipped out of my hand. I said oh stuff, dove in after it (shallow end) and smacked my ankle on the concrete coping. grabbed my broken phone, limped inside pissed off and wet and kept partying (sitting down). Went to ER the next morning, still drunk _________________ Lanexa VA |
