|
|
I know that there is a lot that goes into choosing a wakeboard boat and the term "best" is completely subjective.
With that said, I am looking for something 22-24ft with seating for 14+, and 50-70k price. Solid speakers for the rider and lots of ballast are also preferred.
I have heard good things about the Axis A22 and I believe they are within that price range.
Are there any other boats anyone would recommend with these requirements?
Also, I am ONLY looking at new boats at this time. I understand you can get a couple year old mastercraft within that range but right now I am not interested in the used route.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. |

I love my '12 Axis A22. I ordered my boat with the ls3, vandall edition package and z5 bimini. I only ordered the boat with stereo pack 1, because I wanted to build my own wetsounds system that incorporated rev 410's. There is some talk that the '13 models may offer the rev410s as an option, but I haven't heard confirmation of that yet.
With the ls3, I can run 1000lb bags in the rear and a 900lb front bow sac and still plane out with the wedge down. The wake is absurdly big - much more than I need - but I have the option to ride that monster with the flip of a few switches. What I really like is that, when I'm working on new stuff, I can ride with the rear bags 1/2 full, the center full and the front nose sac about 60% full with the wedge down, and with the ls3, I can pop right out of the hole and be up to speed in seconds. I waste very little gas trying to get the boat to plane out - even with about 2.5k in ballast + wedge.
I've owned a vlx, xstar, 3 super air nautique 230's and two Axis A22's. All boats have their pros and cons, but I absolutely love the A22. Best wake I've ever ridden, hands down. |
