So I just got an older dd ski challenger boat made by maxum. I recently buffed the entire boat and removed all the decals and now I'm wondering if there is any way to paint the boat a different color. I was thinking about maybe yellow or black then putting modern boat decals on. Anyone know how or how much it would cost? I do not leave the boat in the water and I really just want it to hold up for about 2-3 years. Thanks

I got quotes for a wrap at 1600-2400. So I was looking for something cheaper

I hear ya! That buys you a lot of gas.
I did see some pics of the boat, but what color is it again? Haven't seen any "after" pics yet though!

I know it's hard to tell all the buffing and polishing I did but trust me it looks much better than it did when I bought it. So I'm wondering if I could if I could order the vinyl and try to install it myself. I think I want to go with yellow because it will stand out better.
I did some searching and found a boat like mine that has a wrap. I think it looks sick but I can't afford it right now.

What do y'all think?

Think it looks good as it is. Like the other boat you posted I'd keep it more neutral than yellow. I hate yellow, but that's of course just my personal opinion. But for resale I also think it'll be easier to sell in black/gray/neutral tones. Then again; it's your boat and you need to enjoy it now! So do whatever feels best!

I was thinking something like this

Haha there is no maxum wakeboard edition of this boat I just think something like that would look cool... But if there was a wakeboard edition it would probably be like mine.

I don't think your Dad would be very happy if he came home from work and saw what you did to his boat. Keep it the way it is, classic look.

That yellow stripe and the stenciling looks stupid, you don't need to advertise that you're wakeboarding. People either don't care or will already know with the tower, racks, boards, etc....
