I am looking to buy a boat mainly for wakeboarding and surfing but I am on a budget and I found a 1993 prostar 205 and a mastercraft 225 a 1993 also and was wondering which boat would be better and would it throw a good wake weighted down thanks Marty

I think the 225 is a V-drive? If it is a V-drive I think you are going to get able to get a better wake out of the 225V.. You can load that down with 2 bags in the rear and then another in the center or center locker if there is a center locker. The 205 I think is a inboard center engine. You will lose all your space inside the board when you have to put 2 ballast bags on the sides of the engine then have to crawl over them to get back to board. Go test drive that 225V if it is a vdrive.
