Me and the boy over the weekend. Kiddo hung a nice cat fish right after this pic. Broke his line. He was very excited.
Also, yes, he does drive the ski. Set the cruise control to 25 and let him go. I just remind him which poles to stay between when running the channel.

NKCrider, believe it.
Also: full suspension with automatic adjustment, GPS speedos, depth finders, auto reverse, brakes, proximity keys, and more.

NKCrider, seek out a SeaDoo GTX Limited 260is. Your mind will be completely friggin blown.
It's like riding an ez chair that does 70mph on the water. I spent a ton of seat time on my bud's riding around Bermuda (both in the sounds and in the open ocean) and it was a freaking blast.

My youngest wants to be a pilot. He took his first "official" flight lesson last weekend. He's flying a Cessna 172.
Pre-flight inspection
Smile from the pilot

Swass, that's great. Is he looking to fly as a hobby or career? Learning can be tough on morale. There were several instruction flights that left me feeling mentally defeated. A lot of that has to do with the instructor though.

Career. His goal is to be a commercial pilot.
He seems to like his instructor so far, so it's going really well. Nick is a great student, too. He really applies himself. And he seems to have some natural ability. He just kinda "gets it."

Two words.....
"Naval Aviation"
If you can take off and land a jet capable of breaking the sound barrier from an airport the size of a postage stamp then you can do it anywhere.
Looks like he's having a blast. FWIW, I started in a 172 as well. Good, solid plane to start in. Very reliable.

Yeah, but if he screws up just this much he'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dogshit out of Hong Kong.

Ran in to a guy who works for our extended organization at day care the other day. He was there with his wife picking up his 3 month old after her first day at day care. We were BSing about work and stuff, then I mentioned that we had some rough nights recently with A waking up a lot. He asked how old she was, I told him (10 mos).
He turned like ghost white.... then said "oh, I thought they were supposed to be sleeping through by then."
I almost fell over laughing.

When mine was 4 the lack of sleeping was really bad, he was crying and screaming every few hours. In fact we were about to spend 3k on some special sleep Dr. who had a few books out (and it would have been worth it for a few days of sleep). Anyway I told my wife why don't we just read the books and do what the dr says for $15.95
We also did a spectra cell test and found out that he was deficient in a mineral so we bought some special vitamins and did what the Dr. said and it worked. If not I would be in a mental ward by now.

Nice! Good for you having him work and learn. We're in the same situation...the boys are 13 and almost 16. They both help out a lot and we've done some great projects together.
