Has anyone ever worn a GoPro will wakeboarding? I just got a GoPro this winter and am wondering what type of mounting works best for wakeboarding. Chest strap? (I'm worried i wouldn't see much with a chest strap since i would be riding sideways obviously and the camera would be facing away from the boat/wake). Helmet Strap? Surfboard mounting so it would stick to the board and either look out or look back at me .... Let me know of any advice or any suggestions based on experience.

Thanks

we use a helmet mount

my G/f also uses the surf mount, and mounts it to the toe side front tip of the board for an upward view.

I have seen the chest mount also. Just depends on what you want to see footage wise.

I've got a helmet mount and plan to put a surf mount on the deck. There are tons of videos out there on youtube with different angles. Give that a look and see what you like.

I'm guessing that footage isn't on vimeo.com .....

I think i like the look of the helmet cam .... not actually too fond of the surf mount footage just becuase it seems like there's not much to see.

Helmet or chest strap i'm thinking ....

Just my opinion from watching way to many videos. The best mounts I have seen are the surf mount and the rope mount. The rope mount was home made but had incredible footage of the rider.

Here's some of a gopro mounted on the board. Kind of a cool angle for some stuff.

We had someone on a tube, or riding behind the one being filmed, with the GoPro mounted on some sort of stick. One we used last year was a cutoff pool broom handle.
